I just wanted to write a quick rave about youtube! They used to have a captia, which is one of the reasons why I never signed up with them. Now, not only is the captia completely gone, but they even let you sign up with your GMail account! So go Youtube! It goes without saying that I've signed up now.

Actually Tiffanitsa, unless you signed in via your Google account, that audio captia's still there, still as unfriendly as ever, not showing you the letters in the box, so there's no hope of signing up unless a sighty helps you out. I just tried ti sign up myself.

Ooh, this is not cool. I could've sworn that I made a new account there. I do, however, have a GMail account, so perhaps, that's how I did it. IIn all fairness, I've only done it once. sincerely apologise to you guys. It was very late last night, and maybe my head wasn't on straight. On the upside, GMail is accessible, so maybe this isn't all for nothing. You could create a GMail account, even if you don't use it and then sign up with youtube. I know as a fact that there was no captia when I did it, and since the only other way to sign up with them is the GMail account, that must've been the road I took. Still a good alternative I think.

At first i had problems creating a youtube account but then i found a link saying login with your google account. You will find this link after the link saying forgot password if i remember right. Then after you loggin you can create a youtube account without verification. Hope it helps. And thanks Tifanitsa for telling us about it.

By the way now that i have a youtube account can you tell me how can i make use of my channel? Apparently now i have a channel which is somewhere like www.youtube.com/nikosdemetrioucyprus
In there people can leave comments etc. But since i don't have videos to upload what comments are they going to leave? Can i put in my channel other youtube videos that i like for others to watch? Please explain a bit more about the use of a channel. Also do you have any suggestions for any changes i can make to my channel design to look better for blind people or is it ok as it is? I am new to youtube so feedback from other experienced users would be nice. Thanks

I think it depends on what you subscribe to. All of that will show on your page. Here are two examples of youtube pages as an idea. Each has videos and descriptions that go with the videos. However, you don't need to upload any. You can just subscribe to things if you wish that way you don't have to keep looking for your favourites.
Here's what you'd see if you go to someone's videos page.
http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=jureilers
And this is what you'd see on a regular user profile. Of course, You could switch these and go to the videos for the second one and the profile for the first, but anyway.

Hope that helps. I haven't really started using my account fully.

I have the same problem. I don't have any darn videos to upload. In your channel you can put a bit about yourself, what shows you like, music ect.
